Will Electrolysis Work for Me?

Have you been told that, for one reason or another, hair removal won’t work on you? Well, I’ve got good news for you. It may be true that other methods of hair removal won’t work on you, but electrolysis will. That’s because electrolysis works on all skin and hair types, colors and shades. It even works on people experiencing certain conditions.

Electrolysis is a safe and effective solution for anyone wishing to remove unwanted hair permanently. This includes women and men, teens and adults, and people with all different needs, circumstances and goals. Here are just some of the types of people often told hair removal won’t work on them who can–and do–receive great value from treatment with electrolysis.

Coarse, Curly or Wavy Haired People

If you’ve ever been told that you’re not a candidate for treatment to remove unwanted hair because of your hair type, you need to speak with a professional electrologist, because it is effective for all kinds of hair, including hair that is coarse, curly or wavy.

This applies whatever the reason for your hair type, be that the tendency for people with your darker skin tone or if your straight hair has become ingrown. Those with curly hair are more likely to have ingrown hair or notice raised bumps on the skin, while coarse hair can get stuck beneath the skin. While tweezing, shaving or depilatories can produce some temporary relief, those methods can be very hard on the skin, potentially worsening the problem and causing skin discoloration or even scarring.

Electrolysis, on the other hand, can safely, effectively and permanently remove damaging ingrown, coarse and curly hairs without the risk of those problems or other negative side effects.

People With Unwanted Hair on the Breasts and Other Sensitive Areas

Many women get electrolysis to remove unwanted hair from their breasts and other sensitive areas safely and permanently. While the breasts can be sensitive to the touch, they are generally not particularly sensitive to sensations from electrolysis treatment. If you’ve been tweezing these hairs, they can grow coarse and hide how much hair you actually have in that area. Those hairs must grow back before they can be permanently eliminated.

People With Ingrown Hairs

Repeated shaving, tweezing and tightly-worn clothing can lead to ingrown hairs trapped below the skin. Electrolysis can eliminate this hair in time, ultimately relieving any irritation you may feel in these areas.

Dark-Skinned People

While dark skin poses a challenge for other methods of hair removal, they do not do so for electrolysis, which is effective on all colors and shades of skin.

Those With PCOS or Hormonal Imbalances

As people’s hormones fluctuate throughout their lives or as a result of HRT (hormone-replacement therapy), they can find hair growing in new and unexpected places. Whatever the cause, electrolysis can be the solution to ridding those areas of the unwanted hair.

These are just some of the more common types of people and circumstances that benefit from electrolysis. To find out how electrolysis can help you, contact Cori at BGE Electrolysis today.

Gray-Haired and White-Haired Folks

While traditional electrolysis methods may have difficulty locating the follicles of gray hair and white hair in order to remove them, there is another method that allows the electrologist to see those follicles. Cori is trained and experienced in using this method and removing gray hairs and white hairs from her clients.
